Who We Are
I Will Thrive is a nonprofit organization built on the belief that people are capable of more when they have the support and resources they need to move forward.
We are dedicated to helping individuals recognize their potential, overcome barriers, and build confidence in their ability to create positive change in their lives.
Our work is rooted in compassion, connection, empowerment, and community.
We understand that everyone's journey is different. That's why we believe in meeting people where they are, listening to their needs, and helping connect them with opportunities and resources that can support their individual journey.
Our Mission
Our mission is to empower young adults ages 18–23 aging out of the foster care system by providing the support, resources, and opportunities they need to become self-sufficient, confident, and successful adults.
We bridge the gap between foster care and independent living through mentorship, life skills training, education, career development, housing assistance, mental health support, and community connections. Services are provided directly by I Will Thrive or through trusted community partners and referrals, using a trauma-informed and individualized approach.

Why We Started
I Will Thrive was born from both personal experience and years of advocacy.
My niece's brother and her boyfriend both aged out of the foster care system without the support they needed to successfully transition into adulthood. Watching them struggle made it clear just how many young adults leave foster care with little or no guidance, resources, or safety net.
As a Guardian ad Litem and foster parent, I have also witnessed firsthand the challenges that youth aging out of foster care face every day. Too often, they are expected to navigate housing, employment, education, budgeting, healthcare, and other adult responsibilities completely on their own.
We started I Will Thrive because we believe these young adults deserve more than just aging out of the system — they deserve the opportunity to thrive. Our mission is to provide the support, life skills, resources, and caring community they need to build stable, independent, and successful lives.
Who We Serve
At I Will Thrive, we serve young adults who are aging out of or have recently aged out of the foster care system. These individuals often face adulthood without the family support or resources that many of their peers rely on.
Our program is designed to help participants build a strong foundation for independent living by providing life skills education, employment readiness, financial literacy, housing support, mentorship, and connections to community resources.
We believe every young adult deserves the opportunity to succeed, regardless of their past. Through encouragement, education, and ongoing support, we help participants gain the confidence and skills they need to build stable, independent, and fulfilling lives.
